Costumes.  Jack the sailor is not actually wearing a string on his nose, but that would be awesome if he was.

I just developed a roll of film that's been sitting in my lil' Canon auto camera.  I use it as my "going out" camera since it has a flash...but seeing as I rarely "go out" anymore, this roll has been sitting in there for awhile.  These are some photos from Halloween (the night we dressed up and then actual Halloween).

Amsterdam Part II

Some photos that Skye took while we were in Amsterdam.  Although the last one isn't exactly flattering, it makes me laugh so I had to put it on here.  We had been out walking all day and we stopped at our hotel room for a bit before dinner (it was 5PM).  I made myself a coffee and promptly fell asleep for a few hours.  When I woke up, we were both too lazy to go out to dinner and we ended up ordering pizza (online, from a Dutch website!) from a place called New York Authentic Pizza or something like that.  Oh, MTV and VH1 actually play music videos 24/7--mostly just from the 90s, 80s, and 70s....so that made it even harder to leave our hotel room!

Amsterdam!

Here are some photos from Amsterdam!  We walked around a lot, visited the Rijksmuseum (most of it is closed for renovations until 2013, but we still saw a ton of Rembrandts!), visited Anne Frank Huis, ate lots of apple pie, and visited a pretty great vegetarian restaurant.  

Leeds, UK

Skye got me the most amazing Christmas present--a trip to Europe!  I flew from JFK to Brussels airport and from Brussels to Leeds-Bradford, which apparently is one of the most dangerous airports to fly into.  I found this out after I had safely landed, thank goodness.  We were in one of those tiny airplanes and those scare me enough as it is.  We hung out all day at the O2 Academy, then drove overnight to London.  We got to spend one day in London (unfortunately, that roll of film turned out blank--what the heck.)  And then the wonderful Ben and Cil drove us to Heathrow where we flew out to Amsterdam and spent four amazing days there.  I had never been to Europe or the UK before, so this was all very exciting and new to me.  I really didn't want to come home.  I wish I could travel around for months--there's so many cities I would love to see!  Anyways, more pictures to come in a bit!
